The Men in Blue managed to clinch a win against the hosts on Sunday after playing out 46 overs, The Indian innings saw Yashasvi Jaiswal and Nitish Reddy breach the 40-run mark as India asserted dominance on the opening day of the contest.

Gill, Reddy dominate IND vs PM’s XI

Shubman Gill missed the 1st Test in Perth after suffering a blow to his left thumb during training. In the pink-ball warm-up game, he scored 50 off 62 deliveries before retiring hurt. Meanwhile, Washington Sundar and Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 42 runs each as India prevailed against Australia’s Prime Minister’s XI on Sunday. India skipper Rohit Sharma, who returned to action on Sunday after missing the 1st Test, managed to score just five runs. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli did not come out to bat in the practice game.
