Will India travel to Pakistan for Champions Trophy 2025?
India are scheduled to play all their Champions Trophy 2025 matches in Lahore, with matches set to be held on February 20, 23 and March 2. However, it remains unclear if India will travel to Pakistan or if the ICC will adopt a hybrid model for the tournament. India last toured Pakistan in 2008 for the Asia Cup following which geopolitical tension between the two countries has forced the former to boycott cricket in the latter till date. The two sides have only met at ICC events.
The PCB remains adamant about hosting the CT 2025 and is ensuring that the preparations for the tournament are in full swing. Hopes have been raised after India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar recently paid a visit to Pakistan to attend the SCO summit. However, the visit had no mention of cricket or India traveling to the country whatsoever.
