Teams that might target Mitchell Starc in IPL auction

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)

Mitchell Starc has already represented RCB in IPL earlier. On the back of a heavy batting lineup, the Red Army managed to reach the playoffs, but their bowling was exposed multiple times in IPL 2024. Inclusion of Mitchell Starc will also give a decent opening bowling partner to Yash Dayal. it is likely that RCB will bid for the ace pacer in the upcoming IPL 2025 Auction.

Rajasthan Royals (RR)

Just like RCB, the Rajasthan Royals also lack a good death bowler. Starc’s availability could address this issue. If Starc joins RR, he is likely to take the new ball. This can turn out to be a nightmare for batters if the conditions for the bowlers are helpful at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Gujarat Titans (GT)

Alongside KKR it was Gujarat Titans who aggressively tried to get Mitchell Starc in last IPL auction. Under the young leadership of Shubman Gill, the former IPL champs might need some experience with him on field. Starc can join the likes of Rashid Khan and Sai Sudharsan, among other players.
