Η Ινδία θα αντιμετωπίσει την Αυστραλία στο τεστ Pink Ball στην Αδελαΐδα στις 6 Δεκεμβρίου.
The India Cricket Team is boosted by the return of Rohit Sharma to the starting XI. But the injury concern for Shubman Gill continues. And as a result, there remains a major doubt about his selection. In such a scenario, it remains to be seen who fails to make the cut. Dhruv Jurel or Devdutt Padikkal?
Shubman Gill was asked to take a rest for around 2 weeks and this means he won’t be making it for the India A vs Prime Ministers XI. But as things remain, Gill remains a huge doubt for the Pink Ball Adelaide Test. And this means it will be KL Rahul who will drop from the opening spot to play his part at number 3.
“Gill was advised a 10-14 day rest by the medical specialist after suffering that injury. He won’t play in the practice match on the weekend, and is doubtful at the moment for the second Test too. Let’s see how much his injury has healed, how his finger feels. Even after it has healed, he’ll need some quality practice before playing a Test match,” a source told the Times of India.
KL Rahul at 3, who misses India Playing XI?
KL Rahul was at his best in the Perth Test when he opened for India alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal. In the first innings, he scored a resilient 26-run knock, before taking the charge in the second innings with a magnificent 77-knock. He stitched a 201-run partnership with Jaiswal, which became the highest-ever opening stand by Indian batters in Australia.
As things stand, both Dhruv Jurel and Devdutt Padikkal performed poorly. And this means either one won’t make the cut. But since Jurel is well adapted to playing down the order, this means it is highly likely that Devdutt Padikkal misses out on a spot in the India Playing XI.
