Το 78* του Mayank Rawat από 39 όβερ αποδείχθηκε το καθοριστικό χτύπημα για τους East Delhi Riders απέναντι στο South Delhi Superstarz!
And after 33 high-octane clashes, we finally have ourselves the winners of the inaugural edition of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) T20. Himmat Singh-led East Delhi Riders went past the final huddle in the last over in a game that ebbed and flowed against the South Delhi Superstarz.
The ‘Mayank Rawat’ show!
East Delhi Riders, who opted to bat first, despite some cloudy weather conditions, lost all their key batters early. Anuj Rawat went for 10, Sujal Singh for 5 and even skipper Himmat Singh scored 20 off 20. They were 4/69 after the 10-over mark.
However, Mayank Rawat showcased why he is known as ‘mini Virender Sehwag’ of Delhi cricket. The lad, who packs a mighty punch, sent some lusty blows. The match-changing over was the ultimate over, where Ayush Badoni brought in himself only to get hit for not one or two but five maximums, courtesy of Mayank Rawat.
Rawat, who has been part of Delhi’s T20 team, bludgeoned 78 runs off only 39 balls at an insane strike rate of 200.00.
